I will also always thank God for him.

My Dad had just passed away. There was a youth group at our church but my brother made it clear he didn't want me involved. My Mom took me to a church camp. Thank God! Donnie listened!
My first memory of Donnie was when I was in grade school and he was doing feats of strength. I thought it was pretty amazing when he tore a phone book in half. He really impacted my daughter at camp, she loved him! I have a great picture of her praying for him while he prayed for her friend.
My first exposure to Donnie Moore was during a rally at Roseville High School. It was the strength team, and Donnie spoke. He was very dynamic, and I liked what he said. I'd been brought up in church, asked Jesus into my heart in the first grade, but I believe it would be more appropriate to say that I was born again in high school... Because of Donnie. I went to camp, listened to him preach. …
What a heart breaking moment today as my daughter showed me a post on Facebook that was 16 minutes old. As a young campus minister with Chi Alpha, Donnie played a huge role in mentoring me and so many others. As a lifetime Seattle Mariners fan Donnie knew that my favorite player was Edgar Martinez. At one of our strategic minister meetings Donnie approached me and told me that he had just spent some time with the Mariners and told Edgar that I was a huge fan. On hearing this, Edgar gave Donnie a bat to give …
I loved hearing Donnie speak at "then" Calvary Temple in Yuba City. I got to talk to him about weight training a couple of times after hearing him speak. It was over 20 years ago that I first heard Donnie speak. A friend & I had taken our sons to see him and his team at a church in Napa. After the feats of strength Donnie spoke and gave an alter call. Though I belonged to another church I had never seen so many respond to an alter call. As the Lord would have it I became a part of Harvest Church in Vacaville. There is where I would …

Donnie was such a courageous man of God!!! He broke into so many of our lives, and the results were that we would NEVER be the same again. 😭He loved so powerfully! Even if it was just as small as remembering names, WOW! I'll never forget him walking up and down the isles, during the alter calls, that would go on for hours. Time wasn't of crucial importance, because Heaven always broke in and the power of God set free, …
I first met Donnie before he even knew the Lord when he was working (I believe) as a graduate assistant at Stagg High. Even then, his charisma and motivation were palpable. Then, after he came to Jesus, he started going to Lincoln Neighborhood church (now Lakeview Assembly). Even though I was just a teenager, we became good friends and watched him grow in the Lord by leaps and bounds. I used to perform Keith Green songs in church, which Donnie …
Relationship:SHSU XA student God used Donnie in many ways to minister to my life but one of the memories I'll never forget was when I was at a time in my life where I couldn't grasp God's love for me. Donnie used a rose as an example as he reminded us of how little girls used flower petals to see if they were loved. As Donnie pulled the petals off that rose he showed us what God's love for us looked …
My son experienced Donnie's ministry about 25 years ago. And it changed his life. My grand daughter was going through a very hard time last year, due to her Mom leaving a 13 year marriage and 4 children. I will be forever grateful for the difference Donnie made in …

He and I were ministering to a family whose little boy had leukemia - the 9 year old got saved and HEALED but then ended up dying from pneumonia when his hospital air conditioner wouldn't turn off - it rocked both Donnie and me but we hung on to the Lord. Relationship:Donnie spoke at Chi Alpha events I was present at. Donnie spoke at the Chi Alpha NorCal Winter Conference in 2013 and I remember being struck by his amazing message and story. As a student, I always remembered the strong pastor/chaplain that gave bear hugs to anyone who asked. Fast forward to Fall 2017 when Donnie came and spoke at our UC Davis Chi Alpha group (Davis Christian Fellowship). Hearing about how he fathered the XA NorCal movement and discipled …
My name is Jamie Barnhart, and though I didn’t know Donnie personally, it made a profound impact on my life. My most cherished memory of Donnie: Donnie came to hilltop and blew me away with his heart for children and for being the father that many never had. One of my most cherished memories of him is his message on receiving the promise and the many steps that it takes to get there whether it’s through receiving the …
To me Donnie was an absolute Giant in performance of a Christian Ministry he was able to get down and dirty with the best of us and get us to make a decisions in life better than anyone I knew....probably the most effective altar call that I've ever witnessed or heard came from Donnie Moore. Rest in peace brother. Well done my faithful servant.
Relationship:Friend When I was 16 years old, my brother brought me to the youth group at Lakeview Assembly, and God saved me. I felt God's love and grace for me, and knew that I wanted to live for Jesus. As much as I loved going to youth group, I kept hearing people say, "wait until you go to a Donnie Moore camp!" or "wait until you see Donnie Moore speak!" About a month later, I found myself …
I was the youth pastor of Bethel Church in Redding in the later part of 80’s. Donnie was speaking at our church and came up to me and told me that God says your not a failure. He laid hands on me and I was slain in the spirit. I’ve always have had respect for his ministry. I had been recently watching some of his sermons and being extremely blessed by his message. I was talking to a few high …

I could go on for sometime how Donnie Moore impacted my life! I grew up in the Assembly of God churches in the Bay Area and in the late eighties and early nineties it seemed like Donnie was always our speaker at convention or some assembly. I know he wasn't but that's just how profound he was as a speaker. I don't remember many speakers name from my youth but I always remembered Donnie Moore! I remember …
On my sons freshman year at Jim Elliot Christian High School in 2015, they went to the all school camp, and Donnie was there to lead the chapels. My son likes youth groups, but was not a fan of sitting in a chapel service. When he got home, I asked about his trip. His response shocked me and touched my heart: He said the chapels were 2-3 hours long and very intense. So intense, that the time flew by …
I am the chaplain for the Arizona Diamondbacks and every year we would have our MLB staff meetings together and Donnie and I would spend 2 hours catching up every year. Loved talking life and Jesus with Donnie and we always shared some good laughs…Will miss …
Donnie was at our neighbors house in Tualatin ( Jay and Stacie Anderson - Oregon A/G District Youth Directors at the time) and he came outside and over to our place - we were friends since I had already led worship with him at several events by that time. He held our new little girl Sara and loved on her, posing for pictures and just being the larger-than-life man that he always was. He also took time to …
I'll never forget when Donnie told me to stop beating myself up for the thing's I did in my past and to always remember the best thing I ever did was give my life to Jesus and I changed. I went home after Man Camp and asked my girlfriend what she thought the best thing is that I have ever done and without her knowing what Donnie had told me she said, "you gave your life to Jesus and you …
Donnie would come to the church my dad pastored in Grass Valley, CA multiple times a year in the 80's and 90's, we would also see him at youth camp. I was a very confused and hurting kid because of everything I had witnessed from being a PK, I loved Jesus, but was in so much pain because of people I perceived as attacking my parents, who just wanted to serve Jesus wholeheartedly. Donnie started speaking into my life when …
I never met him face to face, but would listen to him speak at camp when I was a young teen. Even as things grew rough through the years, I can still hear his voice praising God and encouraging hundreds of young people to love and lift one another up. It's helped through many trying times. Thank you for everything, man. ________________ To friends and family I am truly sorry for your loss, my loves. I wish there were words that could make …

Relationship:Went to see him every chance I got for 28 years Donnie had a passion for people I really have never seen. When he hugged you you couldn't help but imagine Jesus wrapping his arms around you. His passion for God and the hurting people was inspiring. I saw him almost every year, sometimes more than once during my 28 years in church. His willingness to pray for you wasn't just a cheap prayer and move on. …

He spoke st our church for years. Trinity Life Center. I have many stories. However, I chose this one. When my daughter was a young teenager Donnie touched her heart so much that he carried one if his bricks for 3 years in Her backpack. Everyday to remind her of how to live. Thank you Donnie for helping my daughter. God bless your family. We will see you again.
Relationship:Camper when I was in 7th grade, my youth Pastor convinced us to go to Chico to a summer camp. It was the theme “Champions” that year.. Not only did I encounter the love of God like never before, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Although I had felt called to ministry since I was a young child, I can not deny the further assurance I felt because of Radical Reality camp. Donnie has prayed over me, spoke into my …
Relationship: Friend in Farley dorm the year he came to Jesus. Word on the UOP campus was that Donnie was placed as the Head Resident in our dorm because he would be a good counterweight to the “God Dorm” of Farley Hall. The year before many students had made decisions for Jesus and Donnie as a known wild man would balance this out. Nevertheless, we (this was mainly Paul Schreiner, Jeff Carter and myself) initiated conversations with Donnie about Jesus and …
As a 13 year old boy, I was invited to Radical reality camp. I didn’t know what to expect. I knew I had issues that I didn’t know how to solve. My mother had left my family at a young age for her addiction to drugs and became so desperate for drugs that she began to prostitute herself. The anger was deep. The feelings of never measuring up to be enough became my driving force to make myself the best …
I had the pleasure of working with Donnie and his Power Team. Several times, he visited the Gilroy Unified School District middle schools and high schools and HE MADE A DIFFERENCE for our students! I can still see the faces of the students when he shared his love for life and his love for Christ! More importantly, he kept it real and didn't sugar coat life and the struggles life puts in front of us. As the presentations would …

My first memory of Donnie was when he and the Radical Reality team came to Green Valley when I was like 6. He had done an alter call and around that time my mom developed epilepsy. I remember standing by my dad, watching him pray over people, laying hands in his way, and I didn’t know about being slain in the Spirit and didn’t register that other people were being laid out.  I saw him lay hands on my mom …
Donnie. My life was changed at your altars. What you believed in, preached, and taught was unlike anything I had ever heard. You were at the foundation (aside from Jesus) for my walk and fire for Christ. I just can’t fathom not raising my kids in your camps that saved me. I’ll never forget being a teenager and you calling me out at an altar saying “God has healed you of your depression, you don’t need to take medication for the rest …
